Alyssa Milano

Alyssa Milano, daughter to Thomas M. Milano and Lin, was born on the 19th of December 1972 in Brooklyn. She was raised up in Staten Island as a roman catholic. The American actress and former singer shot to fame at an early age of eight years after emerging the winner of an acting role in an open audition tour of Annie, a Broadway musical based upon the Harold Gray comic strip. She won her first major role of Samantha Miceli in the sitcoms movie titled who’s the boss at the age of ten years. In 1985, Alyssa Milano co-starred in the movie Commando as Jenny Matrix, the only daughter of John Matrix, who played as Arnold Schwarzenegger.

After her role on who’s the boss came to an end in 1992, Alyssa decided to plunge into the realm of erotic films. She appeared nude in several movies such as Embrace of the vampire released in 1994, Deadly sins which débuted in the year 1995 and Poison Ivy II IN 1996. After her excellent performance in Fear, Alyssa Milano was given her first starring role in Hugo Pool, an American Comedy drama that hit the screens in 1997. This was her first film released via cinemas since her role in Commando. She was named the most popular and successful actress on the primetime soap after her role on Melrose Place which appeared in 1998.

Alyssa Milano admits to the fact that she suffers from dyslexia, a learning disability that impairs her reading fluency. She was appointed as the founding ambassador for the global network for neglected tropical diseases as well as the UNICEF goodwill ambassador for the United States. Milano once appeared clad in a dress made up of vegetables in a television commercial advocating for vegetarianism on behalf of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, an American animal rights organization based in Norfolk, Virginia.
